How to Build a Table for Your Jobsite Table Saw

From Popular Mechanics

Jobsite table saws are marvelous machines and invaluable for their portability and accurate cutting power. But their size is a drawback when it comes to cutting full 4 x 8 sheets of plywood. Instead of building an outfeed table to attach to your saw, you can build a table for your saw that attaches to your workbench.

Jimbo of Jimbo's Garage uses a DeWalt jobsite table saw for all of his woodworking projects, and like most DIYers he doesn't have enough room for a full-size table saw. Instead of building an outfeed table for his saw, Jimbo decided to use his existing workbench and attach a DIY table for his table saw to drop into.

He made the table attachment removable and fabricated steel legs strong enough to support the saw that can slide out easily when the saw is not in use. The project is simple and only requires a saw to cut the wood pieces and a drill/driver to assemble the table. Wood legs can be substituted for steel, but if you've got welding chops, go for steel legs: They'll be much stronger and more durable.
