OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- The first-ever Berkshire Hathaway 5k run will be held Sunday morning for shareholders who want to incorporate a little exercise into the excesses of the annual meeting.
Berkshire's Brooks Running subsidiary organized the fun run in downtown Omaha on the day after shareholders consumed Dairy Queen treats, billionaire Warren Buffett's wisdom and See's Candy at Saturday's meeting.
Brooks CEO Jim Weber says he expects a couple thousand people to participate in the race.
It's a safe bet that many runners will wear the commemorative Berkshire Hathaway shoes Brooks plans to sell at the annual meeting. The shoes feature a cartoon drawing of Buffett on the insoles.
Buffett will fire the starting pistol for the race at 8 a.m. Sunday.
