One of the most key areas of any team, college, high school or pro is the offensive line. Without a quality offensive line, a team just cannot be successful. The Buffalo Bills will not be one of those teams after a couple of moves the last couple of days.

First off and probably the most important step that the Bills have taken in the last few days is signing left tackle Cordy Glenn to a new five-year contract. A massive star offensive lineman for both the Bills and the NFL as a whole, Glenn remaining in Buffalo is a major step in the right direction.

Glenn — now the highest paid offensive tackle in the league — was selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of the university of Georgia. Starting all 13 of the games he played his rookie season, Glenn has been a consistent force on the blind side starting every game since the beginning of the 2013 season.

Rated as the 10th best offensive tackle by Pro Football Focus and the fifth best pass blocker during the 2015 season, Glenn is only 26-years old. Still not yet in the prime of his career, Glenn will only improve in the next few years. Getting any better than what he already is, he will soon be the best offensive tackle in the NFL.

Also in the mix for Buffalo is free agent guard Matt Slauson. The former Chicago Bears guard was released last Sunday and now is looking to be visiting both the Bills and the San Diego Chargers this week. Adding Slauson to the mix in Buffalo would give the Bills another top player on their offensive line.

While not of the same nature as other top players, Slauson has carved out a nice starting role wherever he goes. Playing as both a starter for the Jets and the Bears during his career, the 30-year old may not be the youngest, but he will provide solid reps as the guard position.

With Lesean McCoy anchoring a very talented backfield and a passing game that looks to be improving everyday, keeping the offensive line stocked and ready to go is a must for the Buffalo Bills. Should the Bills manage to sign Matt Slauson, his addition with the contract extension for Cordy Glenn will help solidify the Buffalo Bills offensive line.
