Buffalo Bills sign former Nittany Lion

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WHTM) – The Buffalo Bills announced the signing of former Penn State player Austin Johnson to a one-year contract Thursday.

The defensive tackle was selected in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. Johnson has spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, posting 46 tackles and a forced fumble last season.

Johnson will be reunited with his former Penn State and Tennessee teammate DaQuan Jones who shared the news of Johnson’s signing on X.

The New Jersey native has played in a total of 116 career games between the Titans, New York Giants and Chargers.

Johnson appeared in 35 games for the Nittany Lions, posting 154 career tackles and 8.5 sacks.
