Ukrainian defense forces have blocked Russian troops in the border areas of the Kharkiv Oblast. There is a "rapid trend towards stabilization" of the situation, Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate head Kyrylo Budanov reported during a TV interview on May 14.

The active phase of the Russian border operation in Kharkiv is ongoing, but they have not achieved significant successes.

"The enemy is now blocked at the positions they managed to reach. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are continuing their operation to stabilize the situation further and begin pushing the enemy out of our country," Budanov said.

The situation remains tense and highly dynamic, but it is not catastrophic. People need to remain calm.
