CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Browns are making some major free-agent moves.

Multiple reports say the team is closing in on a deal with Jameis Winston as a back-up Quarterback to Deshaun Watson. According to the Bleacher Report, the one-year deal could be worth about $8.7 million.

Winston is in his 9th year with the NFL and has previously played for the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

If finalized, ESPN reports Winston would replace Joe Falacco, who had a 1-year deal with the Browns and received accolades after leading the team to the playoffs while Watson was out with an injury.

Joe Flacco, who went 4-1 and helped the Browns reach the playoffs last season after Watson was sidelined by a shoulder injury, didn’t receive a contract offer from the Browns, said his agent, Joe Linta.
