Brow tinting is the celebrity secret to thicker, fuller eyebrows

I’ve always dreamed of having bushy eyebrows just like Solange Knowles. It’s obvious that the “Cranes in the Sky” singer gets her naturally thick brows from her mama, Tina Knowles-Lawson, because they run in the family. Mine are sparse and super fine, so I fake fullness by filling them in with powders and pencils. But it’s an everyday struggle to make my eyebrows look perfect.
So I visited celebrity eyebrow guru Joey Healy at his New York City studio to try brow tinting. Healey uses a custom blend of vegetable-based dyes to tint eyebrow hairs for a more polished look. The treatment cost varies depending on the expert and the location, and the results can last four to six weeks, even with showering. An eyebrow tinting appointment with Healy is $95, and a full shaping and tinting session costs $180.
Brow tinting definitely cuts down on the amount of time I spend doing my makeup in the morning. Now that my eyebrows are significantly darker, I sometimes skip brow gel altogether. Talk about a confidence booster!
