Brooklyn woman accused of stabbing elderly roommate to death

A dispute between two Brooklyn roommates ended with an elderly man dead and a much younger woman roommate charged in the slaying, police said Sunday.

Police answered a call about an assault at an apartment on E. 21 St. near Ditmas Ave. in Flatbush about 11:55 p.m. Friday, finding Freddy Quevedo, 73, stabbed multiple times in the back and Paola Jimenez, 29, with slash wounds, cops said.

Quevedo was rushed to Kings County Hospital, but he could not be saved.

Jimenez, who police said was initially uncooperative in the investigation, was taken to the same hospital for a laceration to her right hand.

On Sunday, police arrested Jimenez for Quevedo’s slaying, charging her with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Her arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending late Sunday.
