The Denver Broncos quarterbacks are coming off of extremely rough outings against the San Francisco 49ers. This came just nine days after Mark Sanchez, Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch all posted strong outings against the Chicago Bears.

After Sanchez tossed 10 completions for 99 yards and a touchdown, he completed 10 passes for 120 yards, no touchdowns, three sacks and most notably two fumbles. Sanchez looked a lot like his old self with the New York Jets–exactly the last thing the Broncos need at this point.

I never bought the Siemian hype, even though he is starting on Saturday. Is it really that easy for a 24-year-old to come in despite never starting an NFL came and lead the team?

Kubiak may be doing the right thing if Siemian comes in and proves his worth. But Sanchez should still be trusted as the starter.

Nobody expects Lynch to start, either. He’s a rookie with promise, but plenty of mechanics that need work.

Sanchez should still be considered the main person for the job, plain and simple. He’s a veteran who isn’t fazed by playoff pressure. We are talking about a guy who has played in two AFC Championship games. Those came off of playoff wins (all on the road,) against Carson Palmer, Philip Rivers, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

The Broncos need to give Sanchez plenty of time and let him start on Saturday. He should get at least a full half in with the starters. How good is he supposed to be throwing to backups?

Let Sanchez start an entire half. If he looks good, then you know who to roll with. If he plays as bad as he did against the 49ers, then it’s time to give Siemian and Lynch more opportunities.
