Despite her seven-figure income and international superstardom, Britney Spears insists she and her boyfriend, agent Jason Trawick, are just a "normal" couple who like to work out... "a lot."
"We're really normal," the pop princess told host Ryan Seacrest in an interview on his 102.7 KIIS FM morning radio show on Friday of her romantic relationship. "We just like to watch movies, we work out a lot - we love to work out. We take walks."
"I knew your boyfriend, Jason, when he was pudgy," Ryan ribbed.
"No, he wasn't pudgy!" Britney laughed. "He's definitely ripped... He just got on this health kick."
Ryan said Britney, who appeared live in this studio for the interview, was in tip-top form - something she credits to her love/hate relationship with her personal fitness trainer.
"I have a trainer," Brit told Ryan, when asked how she's maintaining her svelte physique. "I'm on the treadmill for 30 minutes and we do a lot of cardio and running - he kicks my butt.
"You pay to hate your trainer, it's so odd!" she added, laughing.
The "Hold It Against Me" singer is preparing for the March 29 release of her seventh studio album, "Femme Fatale" and said it's her "best work yet."
"I love the album," she told Ryan. "I actually listened to it on the way over here and it's definitely smoothing that you want to work out to. Definitely upbeat... it's just really fun."
