Britney Spears has settled her divorce from husband Sam Asghari following 14 months of marriage, according to new reports.

Asghari, 30, filed for divorce from the Toxic singer, 42, in August 2023, and cited “irreconcilable differences” at the time.

Now TMZ has reported that the former couple are awaiting final approval from the judge after filing completed paperwork and said that Asghari hasn’t contest their prenuptial agreement, protecting Spears’ estimated $60 million wealth.

The publication had previously reported that Spears was covering Asghari's rent for his new apartment and intended to provide him with a six-figure payment, although the exact details remain unclear.

PageSix echoed many of the same sentiments explaining that the former couple have maintained the terms of their prenup.

The outlet also claimed that Spears will keep “miscellaneous jewellery” and other personal items as well as earnings she made before, during and after their marriage.

An insider close to the pair told the publication that their divorce was settled “amicably” due to the “iron-clad prenup” they had in place.

First addressing reports Spears has been spending her fortune, the same source told the outlet: “Britney is continuing to turn the page- the stories of her going broke are ridiculous and demonstrably false.”

They added: “Although she does enjoy luxe travel as a result of her hard-earned freedom, she had a landmark book deal that she will be profiting from for a long time and the sky is the limit in terms of her earning power, including movie rights to the Woman in Me... and fortunately an iron-clad prenup.”

The Standard has contacted Britney Spears and Sam Asghari’s reps for comment.

Asghari and Spears were first linked in 2016 when he appeared in her Slumber Party music video.

After five years together, they got engaged in September 2021 and married the following June with Madonna, Drew Barrymore and Paris Hilton in attendance.

She was first married to childhood friend Jason Alexander, but it was annulled after 55 hours.

Her second marriage was to former dancer Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two sons, Jayden, 16, and Sean, 17.
