First lady of France Brigitte Macron, accompanied by President Emmanuel Macron, has landed in the U.S. wearing an eye-catching pink coat.

On Monday, 65-year-old Brigitte and 40-year-old Emmanuel deplaned on Joint Base Andrews in Maryland with the first lady wearing the brightly hued coat, black skinny pants, and spiky black heels. “This is a great honor. And I think a very important state visit, given the moment of our current environment,” President Macron told reporters who greeted them.

The couple is in town for three days to attend President and Melania Trump’s first state dinner on Tuesday, which, according to CBS News, will welcome 150 guests, among them Christine Lagarde, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund; House Speaker Paul Ryan; and Defense Secretary Jim Mattis. The dinner will be smaller than in previous years (former President Barack Obama welcomed hundreds) and more exclusive: No Democrat or member of the media has been invited.

Earlier that day, Melania Trump posted a video to her Instagram account depicting the “months of preparations” for the dinner, which included poring over menu styles, courses, and white floral arrangements.

The Macrons and the Trumps are scheduled to take a helicopter ride over Washington, D.C., and then dine at Mount Vernon, the Virginia home of the first U.S. president, George Washington.

Pink suits Brigitte Macron; on a visit to Luxembourg last August, she wore a bright minidress in the hue, which she toned down with a nude purse by Louis Vuitton. The French first lady is also known for her bright-blond bob, a uniform of skinny jeans, and short hemlines — but not too short.

“I wear above-the-knee, not minis! Although I loved to wear minis when I was younger, we would hide them in our bags when we went out … and we’d slip bloomers on underneath to dance to rock ’n’ roll,” she told French Elle in August. “We went from very short to very long — that was until my grandmother spotted me in one and exclaimed, ‘My goodness, you look like a frumpy old granny.’ Never again!”
