Bridgerton season 3 has scored a massive achievement for Netflix in its first few days of release.
The hit series returned with part 1 of its new season last week, which focuses on the romance of Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).
It has now been revealed that the available four episodes debuted to a huge 45.1 million views and 180 million hours viewed, according to Deadline.

While the hours watched are lower than season 2's debut of 193 million, it is noted that only the first half of season 3 is available, as compared to the entirety of the last season dropping all at once.
The 'views' metric has also been introduced since season 2 premiered, so the hours viewed for the second run translates to around 24 million views.
The first two seasons of Bridgerton are also among the most-watched Netflix seasons of all time, with season 1 occupying the number 4 spot, while season 2 sits at number 9.
Following its premiere, season 3 debuted to an impressive 95% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes after reviews (which has since moved down to 85%).

Meanwhile, star Coughlan recently revealed the sweet gift that co-star Newton gave her after sharing some behind-the-scenes photos.
"Few Bits," she wrote on Instagram. "Any ones that are bad quality are from a disposable, any ones that are nice quality are from when @lukenewtonuk bought me a vintage camera for my bday cos on screen and off he’s the best."
Coughlan also spoke about the potential for Penelope's secret identity as Lady Whistledown to be revealed in part 2.

"I always say to people, even if let's say episode one, for whatever reason, it would be terrible storytelling, but he arrives back in London, they both go, 'I forgive you now so maybe we should just go out and get married?'" she told Digital Spy.
"There would still be the horrible elephant in the room that is Lady Whistledown. She can't really ignore it forever. So I think no matter what, you know that that's going to be an issue for them."
Bridgerton seasons 1-2 and season 3, part 1 are streaming now on Netflix, along with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Season 3, part 2 premieres on June 13.
