Bridge construction and SR 190 over Norfolk Souther RR set to close on May 13

TALBOT COUNTY, Ga. (WRBL) – The Georgia Department of Transportation is notifying motorists traveling in Talbot County that a road closure at SR 190 over Norfolk Southern RR along with a detour route is scheduled for May 13.

GDOT says the closure is for a bridge replacement on SR 190 and that the project should be completed by the fall of 2024. The new bridge will be built in the same place as the existing bridge. GDOT says the replacement will be a single-span bridge that is almost 120 feet long and 39 feet wide.
