What We’re Tracking

  • Very warm weekend

  • Hot for April!

  • Chance for storms early next week

Breezes have been gradually picking up through the night as temperatures remain mild with many starting off in the 50s this morning. This is going to set us up for a warm afternoon as winds pick up later today.

Rain chances stay rather limited through the weekend. However, we really heat things up over the weekend with summer-like temperatures expected. Winds will be gusty out of the south, sunshine and temperatures climbing up into the upper 80s on Saturday. Less wind, but even warmer with some lower 90s on Sunday afternoon.

Our next best chance for rain looks to arrive Monday afternoon and evening with strong storms and even some showers lingering into early Tuesday. Some of the thunderstorms my be strong to severe Monday evening, and we’ll keep an eye on this storm chance over the coming days.

After this system moves through, we stay well above average in terms of temperatures, but we’ll be slightly cooler than over the weekend. Highs through midweek will be in the lower to middle 80s with nighttime lows in the 50s and lower 60s.
