Breezy with rain developing this afternoon

We’re not as cold Tuesday morning as temperatures are running in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Today will be breezy and seasonally warm with scattered showers developing. High temperatures will peak in the mid 60s on breezy, southwesterly winds.

Wind gusts near 30 mph are possible. We’ll see our high temperature in Indianapolis during the mid afternoon hours before the rain moves in, followed by a cold front.

Scattered showers will start in our northern counties during the morning hours and primarily remain there through the early afternoon. We see these showers shift south and east through the mid and late afternoon hours before they push off to the south this evening. Overall, rainfall totals will likely be less than 1/4″ in most locations across central Indiana with higher totals expected in our northern counties.

The cold front sends temperatures back down to highs only in the 50s Wednesday. We could see another Frost Advisory issued for Thursday morning with temperatures in the mid 30s. However, a big warmup gets in the works to close the week and head into the weekend. 70° and 80° warmth will return.
