BREAKING: Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston Reportedly Broke Up
Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have reportedly broken up, multiple sources confirmed to Us Weekly.
"She was the one to put the brakes on the relationship," an anonymous source close to the couple told Us. "Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with. Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn't listen to her concerns when she brought them up."
Now, Tom is reportedly "embarrassed that the relationship fizzled out," the source continued.
"It was an intense start," a second source close to Tom said of the summer romance. "No one can keep that kind of momentum going."
Talk about intense. After her rocky split from Calvin Harris, Taylor was spotted K-I-S-S-I-N-G Tom in Rhode Island. Almost instantly, the pair embarked on a whirlwind adventure, hitting up Selena Gomez's concert in Los Angeles, meeting each other's parents in Nashville and London, and vacationing in Rome. And don't forget about that instantly iconic "I 3 T.S." tank top that Tom wore at the singer's Fourth of July bash.
But despite how genuinely happy they looked together, some people wondered if the relationship was an elaborate publicity stunt (or even a music video!) designed to boost Tom's profile and help Taylor distance herself from Calvin.
Rumors have been circulating for awhile now that not all was well with Hiddleswift.
"Tom wants their relationship to be public, even asking Taylor to go to the Emmys with him, but Taylor wants to keep her private life private," an anonymous source told Page Six on Tuesday. "Tom's need for their relationship to be so public so quickly makes her uncomfortable... She tried to be OK with it in the beginning, but fears he is in love with the idea of her and not falling in love with her for the right reasons."
Neither Taylor nor Tom has commented on the alleged breakup. Whatever went down, we hope there's no serious bad blood.
