'Breaking Ice' scenes look at inequities, bias and misconceptions

Feb. 27—Drama, music, poetry, movement and humor — diversity, equity and inclusion.

Pillsbury House Theatre is presenting three Zoom shows March 5-7 called "Breaking Ice," which feature scenes that look at how systemic inequities, implicit bias and common misconceptions show up in relationships.

According to a Pillsbury House news release, in each Breaking Ice performance, "a diverse company of professional actors portray real-life situations that occur in a variety of social settings: at work, in school, in social situations and in the home." The performances show how commonplace, unintentional language and behaviors can be hurtful or misunderstood.

Breaking Ice has been part of Pillsbury House Theatre's offerings for the past 20 years. There will be discussion following each performances: 7 p.m. March 5 and 6, 6 p.m. March 7.

Tickets are pick-your-price (suggested $15), and are available at pillsburyhouseandtheatre.org.
