Bread Basket Bolt takes place in Scranton

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A local non-profit that helps feed thousands enjoyed a boost in its mission.

Dozens of runners and walkers headed out Saturday along Lackawanna River Heritage Trail for the inaugural Bread Basket Bolt.

The event sponsored by Bread Basket of NEPA took participants along either a 5K or 10K trail.

Cancer Wellness Center kicks off held 27th annual walk

Money raised helps benefit the local interfaith-based food distribution organization which helped 21,000 families, individuals, and veterans in 2023.
