"This is the least we can do. Such a noble cause as this. Many lives were lost, a total disaster, and such suffering. It makes us sad to talk about it. But I am sure the people of the South will rebuild their lives."

Stars such as Ronaldinho, Cafu and Bebeto shone again on the pitch of the iconic Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro to seek donations for the victims of the country's deadly floods.

According to the organisers, some 42,000 tickets were sold, and the money will be donated to foundations that help flood victims.
