Kyle Richards of 'Real Housewives' opens store in Palm Desert, castmates attend opening

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reality show star Kyle Richards took to Instagram Friday night to announce the opening of her new store, Kyle X Shahida, in Palm Desert.

Bravo TV celebrity Richards opened her luxury resort and loungewear boutique on the first level of The Gardens on El Paseo at 73-545 El Paseo Suite 1724. The Agency, the luxury real estate brokerage owned by her husband, Mauricio Umansky, is on the second level.

In her Instagram video, Richards hinted that the store opening was being filmed for the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” with several members of the cast in attendance.

“We are doing an opening here tonight with some friends of mine — some you may know,” she said coyly.

One social media user directly asked in the live comment feed if Richards was filming the opening for Bravo, and she responded by saying “hmm … I don’t know” before flipping the camera to show several masked cameramen waving.

“All the girls are here — you know which ones,” she whispered to the camera before signing off.

Several current and former RHOBH castmates — including Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke and Teddi Mellencamp — were confirmed to be in attendance based on several social media posts.

Richards said the store currently sells only her clothing line, Kyle + Shahida, but will eventually carry pieces from other designers that she enjoys and that are “cohesive” with her line.

“We’re probably going to do just this one store, and I have a home here, so it makes perfect sense,” Richards added.
