In case you didn’t know, the Denver Broncos offense was pretty bad in 2016.

Sure, having a pair of 1,000-yard receivers in Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders seems luxurious, but it was pretty awful after that. The team’s third-leading receiver was second-string running back Devontae Booker – who caught 31 passes for 265 yards. That’s like, not good.

With New York Jets veteran Brandon Marshall likely finding a new home in 2017, would a new reunion makes sense? Christopher Hart from Mile High Report asked the question:

“Could you imagine a Broncos’ offense with Thomas and Marshall split wide, with Sanders flying down the field in the slot? It’s a beautiful to think about and a scenario I hope John Elway would consider if given the opportunity.”

The New York Jets are entering an inevitable rebuilding stage, and keeping a 33-year-old Marshall around doesn’t make much sense. Per Connor Hughes from NJ.com, Marshall does believe he can still win games with the Jets.

The thing is, the Broncos should be ultra aggressive and give the Jets any draft pick they want (besides a first), to get him. Like Hart said, having Marshall join Sanders and Thomas would give the Broncos a beautiful-looking offense.

But Elway may also try to steer away from adding fading veterans and look to add more to the quarterback position and offensive line. That’s nice and all, but the time to win is now. Getting Marshall gives the Broncos three incredible receivers.

After all, that offense with Julius Thomas and Wes Welker helping Thomas and Sanders was fun, right?
