Braintree's Liberty School losing administrator to South Elementary School in Hingham

BRAINTREE – Tara Boening, the principal of the Liberty Elementary School for the past eight years, will be leaving at the end of the school year and move to a Hingham school.

A Hingham resident, Boening will become principal of the South Elementary School, the Hingham schools said in a news release. She will take over from Mary Eastwood, who is retiring after 45 years in the Hingham schools, the last 11 as principal at South.

Braintree School Superintendent James Lee told the school committee this week that a search will get underway for a new principal at Liberty.
