But then there’s Bradley Roby, part of the no-fly zone that played a huge part in the Broncos Super Bowl 50-championship season. Vincent Verhei from ESPN ranked each team’s most underrated player (subscription required,) and are fiends at Denver Broncos 247 Sports were able to tell us that Roby was the guy on Verhei’s list.

No doubt that Roby was a standout on the Broncos defence. Pro Football Focus ranked the Broncos cornerback group as the best in the NFL, and Roby was ranked in the top-30 for graded cornerbacks last season.

Though Harris often took away the opposition’s top receiver, and Talib covered the next best guy, Roby absolutely stood out. Everyone remembers this clutch play he made in the AFC Championship:

Roby had a great read on the ball and saved the Broncos from having to go to overtime. He was covering multiple receivers that game, and managed to hold his ground on Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman, among others.

It’s hard to argue that he’s not Denver’s most underrated player. He’d be a top cornerback on most NFL rosters by now. He remains a key part of the Broncos defense and will be such that for years to come.
