Aug. 30—BOYCEVILLE — Madilyn Bailey, a Boyceville native who now lives in Los Angeles, will appear in Tuesday's episode of 'America's Got Talent.'

Bailey, 28, is one of 21 semifinalists remaining in the 2021 edition of the show who are competing for the $1 million top prize at the Dolby Theatre stage in Los Angeles.

The pop music singer-songwriter's audition got the attention of the show's celebrity judges in early July and she has now advanced to the show's semifinals after being saved by a public vote after judges reached a deadlock vote in the quarterfinals.

The live episode featuring Bailey will air from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday on local NBC affiliate WEAU-TV (Channel 13 on broadcast and Spectrum cable), followed by a live results show at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The other semifinal will be Tuesday, Sept. 7, followed by a results show the next day.

Before moving out to California in her early 20s, Bailey had performed at coffee shops and small venues in Eau Claire and Menomonie. She still has several family members in west-central Wisconsin.

Bailey now puts her music up on YouTube where she currently has more than 8.6 million subscribers.
