It's a Boy: Singapore Zoo Stages Gender Reveal for New Panda Cub

Keepers at a Singapore zoo have confirmed that the first panda cub to be born there is a male, and they enlisted the help of proud dad Kai Kai to help spread the word.

Footage released by Wildlife Reserves Singapore shows Kai Kai, who was marking his own birthday on September 10, doing his very own gender reveal, tugging on one of his enrichment gifts to send a shower of blue confetti falling.

The new cub, born in August, has not yet undergone a full veterinary examination as it remains with its mother. But its gender was determined through visual assessments performed by the panda care team, Wildlife Reserves Singapore said.
