Boy’s Amazing Costume Earns Kudos from Marvel Movie Director
We know, we know, Halloween is over, but this maker mom just blew us away with her hyper-realistic Rocket the Raccoon costume, and we thought you might want to take a break from your Thanksgiving planning to take a look.
Christina Borchardt loves making costumes for her family to wear to cosplaying conventions, and when her 5-year-old son, Chase, expressed interest in Rocket the Raccoon –from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy –she decided to give it a shot.
The result is a painstakingly detailed replica – replete with an articulated jaw –that even caught the attention of James Gunn, the Guardians of the Galaxy director!
“You guys rock!” wrote Gunn on a picture Borchardt shared on Facebook.
We couldn’t agree more, sir… cool movie, by the way.
In response to the overwhelming attention she’s gotten from the internet, Borchardt posted a heartfelt thanks on her Facebook page: “The support has been so great, i feel like I might have a real shot in the industry one day. Thank you all!!!”
