A 15-year-old boy was in critical condition after being shot late Wednesday morning in a shooting in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 11:35 a.m., the boy was outside in the 800 block of West 52nd Street when he was approached by two gunmen who opened fire. The boy suffered wounds to the chest and the arms, and was taken in critical condition to University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
