Boy, 14, nabbed for Bronx MTA bus shooting that wounded teen

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested for shooting and wounding an older teen on a Bronx MTA bus, police said Thursday.

The teen was identified and tracked to upstate New York, where cops took him into custody Wednesday, police sources said. His name was not released by the NYPD because he’s a juvenile.

The suspect is accused of shooting a 17-year-old boy in the chest during a clash on a crowded BX5 bus near Story Ave. and Metcalf Ave. in Soundview just before 6 p.m. Jan. 21.

He was charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal use of a firearm and reckless endangerment.

The wounded teen was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was treated and released. Nobody else on the bus was hurt.
