PENINSULA, Ohio (WJW) — It’s not over until it’s over!

Boston Mills (7100 Riverview Road) is opening for one last weekend of skiing and snowboarding in Northeast Ohio.

“Our season just got an extension, and it feels like we’ve struck gold,” the ski resort said on social media Wednesday.

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day Sunday, the resort suggested everyone come dressed in their Irish best for the occasion. Special hours are as follows:

  • Saturday, March 16, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

  • Sunday, March 17, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

A Rail Jam session is also planned for Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the base of Tiger.

While Boston Mills’ sister resorts, also owned by Vail Resorts, were shuttered last week, the Peninsula spot never officially gave up, saying they hoped for one more bonus weekend this month depending on the weather (and they got it).

Despite 60-degree temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday, FOX 8 meteorologists are calling for a dip in temps as the week progresses.

The skiing/board season started off slowly this season, with Northeast Ohio seeing a roller coaster of temperatures. Last year, too, was a similar story.
