Boston to Kansas City, Mo., flight diverted to NYC

NEW YORK (AP) — A Delta Connection flight scheduled to go from Boston to Kansas City, Mo., was diverted to John F. Kennedy International Airport after a tire blowout in takeoff.

Flight 3285, operated for Delta by Pinnacle Airlines, lost both tires on the right main landing gear on Monday evening.

Pinnacle said the airplane landed safely at JFK where the 73 passengers and four crewmembers were taken off the craft.
