Bonner Springs approves request for second QuikTrip along K-7

BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. — The City of Bonner Springs has announced plans for a second QuikTrip, less than a mile from its current one.

On Tuesday night, the Bonner Springs City Council approved a request for the second QuikTrip at Kansas Highway 7 and Speaker Road, near the entrance and exit to Interstate 70.

The city said the current QuikTrip location, north of I-70 at 130th Street, will remain open. The second location will allow QuikTrip to capture both north and southbound traffic from I-70.

“There are multiple pad sites available at the intersection of I-70 and Speaker Road that were developed as part of the Old Dominion project,” the city said Wednesday. “These sites are available for purchase and we look forward to business growth and additional opportunities in that area.”
