Police find ‘nothing of concern’ after bomb threat reported at USF

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A bomb threat was reported Tuesday night at the University of South Florida hours after pro-Palestine protesters were dispersed from campus with tear gas earlier in the evening, according to the university. Police said they found “nothing of concern.”

The university issued an “Emergency Notification” at 10:57 p.m., stating there was a bomb threat made in the area of Cooper Hall. Students and community members were asked to avoid the area.

After completing a sweep of the building, officials said the bomb threat at Cooper Hall was resolved at 11:32 p.m. There was no threat to the campus.
