Bomb squad respond to reported ‘explosion’ in University Circle: Police

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Police are investigating a reported explosion in University Circle Tuesday afternoon.

University Circle police told the FOX 8 I-Team that “some type” of explosion happened by an unoccupied vehicle parked on Wade Oval around 3:45 p.m.

Investigators say there are no reported injuries and the vehicle suffered minor damage.

A bomb squad was also called to the scene, according to University Circle police.

The roadway was closed in that area, University Circle police say it has since reopened.
