Boil water advisory rescinded for Haven

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has rescinded a boil water advisory for Haven’s public water supply.

The KDHE issued the advisory because of a loss of pressure due to tower maintenance. Failure to maintain adequate pressure may result in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.

What time will Kansas see the eclipse?

Laboratory testing samples collected from the City of Haven indicate no evidence of bacteriological contamination and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by KDHE officials to be resolved.

If you have any questions, call the water system at 620-465-3618 or the KDHE at 785-296-5514. You can also get more information on the KDHE website.

Businesses that sell food may have additional questions. They can contact the Kansas Department of Agriculture’s food safety and lodging program at kda.fsl@ks.gov or call 785-564-6767.
