Boil order issued at Candlewood Estates

MAHOMET, Ill. (WCIA) — The Sangamon Valley Public Water District has issued a boil order for a part of their district.

The boil order affects the south side of Piatt Street in Candlewood Estates. Officials ask all residents to boil all water for consumption (including drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, etc.) for at least one minute, then cooled before use.

“This precautionary measure is necessary to ensure the safety and health of residents in the affected area,” Sangamon Valley Public Water District said in a news release.
