The village of Bohdanivka is under the defense forces’ control, with intense fighting in the Bakhmut sector continuing, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported on Telegram on April 13.

The ministry refuted the DeepState monitoring portal’s earlier report of the village’s occupation by Russian forces and advance toward Chasiv Yar, Novokalynove, and Tonenke.

“During the night, enemy assault groups made their way to the northern outskirts. There is a battle going on, the enemy does not stop attacking,” the ministry said, urging people to rely only on official reports from the armed forces.

On the same day, Oleksandr Syrskyi, commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, reported that the situation on the eastern front had deteriorated significantly amid a significant intensification of the Russian offensive following the sham presidential elections in March.
