Boehner says in talks over renegades' ouster from key panel

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - House Speaker John Boehner on Wednesday said he is holding a "family conversation" with his rank-and-file Republicans about two lawmakers who were kicked off of a key committee after they opposed his re-election as Speaker. "Two of our members were not put back on the committee immediately," Boehner told members. He said during the next "couple days" there will be a decision "on how we go forward." Boehner's remarks came after a closed-door session with Republicans, one day after 25 of his party members refused to support his re-election as speaker, an unusually high number of dissidents.
