“All of a sudden, I hear a bark, and I hear a scream: ‘Hold your dog!'” she told WTVJ. “I turn around, and I see a beast coming.”

Marbles then picked up her dog, Ponchita, as she was allegedly knocked to the ground by the pit bull, that latched on her arms.

“There’s a dog trying to bite another dog, and the lady’s bleeding. Oh my god,” a witness is heard saying.

The owner of the 2-year-old pit bull told WTVJ that her dog “slipped out of her hand” but Marbles said that the leash was not attached to the pit bull. West Palm police said the pit bull’s owner also tried to leave the scene.
