Body identified as Michael McBride
Jul. 20—The Ector County Sheriff's Office has identified the man whose body was found south of Highway 302 on June 27 as Michael Heath McBride, 40.
Sheriff Mike Griffis said an oilfield worker found McBride off to the side of a lease road and they believe he may have been there a few days.
Autopsy results are still pending, he said.
"But after speaking to individuals who were with him prior to him venturing off the road, we feel that his death may be ruled accidental, drug-induced," Griffis said.
