Body found on King Road

May 14—The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found Tuesday along King Road.

According to a press release from the department, a driver called 911 to report seeing the body in the 8200 block of King Road at 6:15 a.m. Deputies responding to the call found the body of a black male on the side of the road, the news release stated.

Lauderdale County Coroner Stella McMahan said Wednesday the body had been identified as 54-year-old Eddie Floyd Bell.

The body is being sent for an autopsy, she said.

LCSO is investigating and more information will be released as it becomes available.

Avendus, the top investment bank for venture deals in India, confirmed on Wednesday it is looking to raise up to $350 million for its new private equity fund.
