Body found in a Caddo Parish lake Friday morning, Sheriff's Office reports
A body was recovered from a Caddo Parish lake Friday, May 10.
According to Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, patrol deputies were dispatched about 10:30 a.m. to the 11000 block of Cypress Garden Road on a welfare check.
A neighbor reported that they had not seen their elderly neighbor in a few days.
The sheriff marine unit was dispatched to the scene and discovered an empty canoe in the lake. A body was discovered later approximately 150 yards away from the shoreline.
According to the sheriff's office, no foul play is suspected. The identity of the individual has yet to be determined.
