Strictly Come Dancing's Bobby Brazier has quashed rumours he’s dating his EastEnders co-star Jazzy Phoenix.

Speaking to Express.co.uk at the BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday (May 12), the Freddie Slater actor shut down the recent romance speculation by confirming that he and Phoenix (who plays Nadine Keller on the BBC soap) are just friends.

"Jazzy's not my new girlfriend," he shared. "But you don't believe everything you read, do you? Come on now. We're just good friends!"

He may not have a romantic spark with Jazzy, but Bobby did open up about his potential future wife.

"You know, I think I know the girl I want to marry. She and her whole family are just something else," he teased.

When asked if he could reveal the identity of the mystery person, Bobby added: "No, I cannot. And that's it! We're gonna be happy in peace. I will tell you that much!"

Bobby is set to make his return to Walford alongside Laila Morse (Mo Harris) in the upcoming weeks, with Freddie previously having made a temporary departure following his attack on Theo Hawthorne.

Elsewhere, the actor recently landed a new TV role in the upcoming Paramount+ drama Curfew, starring opposite Sarah Parish, Mandip Gill and Alexandra Burke, as well as fellow EastEnders stars Lucy Benjamin, Anita Dobson and Larry Lamb.

The series will take place in a world where men are only allowed outside during specific hours of the day due to the 'Women's Safety Act'.

When a woman is murdered, a police officer concludes that a man can't have been responsible and opens up an investigation.

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
