Boaz man killed in Walker County accident involving tractor-trailer

WALKER COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a man from Boaz was killed in a single-vehicle, tractor-trailer accident Tuesday.

Troopers responded to a single-vehicle accident on Tuesday, April 16, around 10 a.m. on Interstate 22 in Walker County.

One taken to hospital after lawn mower hit by vehicle

The victim, 40-year-old Stephen A. Zmolek Jr., was killed when the tractor-trailer he was driving veered off the road into a ditch and caught fire.

ALEA said Zmolek was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers are continuing to investigate the accident.
