Boater airlifted with serious injuries after accident in Pinellas County

Video above: On Saturday, the Coast Guard rescued five boaters within three hours in Tampa Bay.

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries following a boating incident on Sunday afternoon.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office received a water rescue call around 12:55 p.m. at Three Rooker Island, located just north of Honeymoon Island.

5 boaters rescued within 3 hours in Tampa Bay by Coast Guard

Officials are not releasing any further details at this time.
