Board of Supervisors meet for first time since Zack Scrivner allegations

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Board of Supervisors met for the first time Tuesday since allegations of Zack Scrivner allegedly sexually assaulting a child first surfaced.

Scrivner’s name was still on the agenda during the 9 a.m. meeting. He has not been arrested nor have any charges been filed against him. Scrivner’s location is also not known.

According to Sheriff Youngblood, he received a call from District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer two weeks ago. She told the Sheriff her nephew, Zack Scrivner, was armed and suicidal. Youngblood then immediately dispatched deputies to Scrivner’s home in Tehachapi.

Then deputies arrived, they learned Scrivner had been stabbed over allegations he had sexually assaulted a child.

The discovery led to detectives executing a search warrant for the stabbing and sexual assault. Officials seized 30 guns, electronics, including his phone, possible evidence of both the stabbing and sexual assault and forensic evidence.

17 News learned last week that Scrivner’s wife, Christina Scrivner, asked a judge to keep her estranged husband away from their four children.

However, the accusations Christina made against Zack are completely censored. A family court hearing for the Scrivners is scheduled for later this month.
