Fire Marshal Brad Crisp, Sedgwick County Fire District 1, said the fire was in the engine compartment. He said the turbo on the diesel motor caught fire. Station 36 got it under control quickly.

The train engineer de-energized the locomotive, and BNSF moved the engines that were blocking the 47th Street crossing.

Crisp says no hazardous materials were involved.
