BMA conducts 67th commencement

May 15—Ten students received a degree from the Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary, located in Jacksonville, during commencement exercises conducted Saturday, May 11. The event occurred at First Baptist Church Jacksonville.

Christopher Curry of Jackson, Tennessee; Chris Jones of Henderson, Texas; and Joe Owens of Magnolia, Arkansas received the Associate of Divinity degree.

Lance Eubanks of Ben Wheeler, Texas; Kevin Fitts of Rusk, Texas; and Seth Hellwig of Jacksonville received the Bachelor of Arts in Religion degree.

Joseph Allen of Rusk, and Keith Thomas of Peoria, Illinois received the Master of Arts (Pastoral Theology) degree. Aleksander Jovanovic of Sandusky, Michigan received the Master of Arts (Religion) degree. Inyamuwa Okwa of Otukpo Benue State, Nigeria received the Master of Arts in Church Ministries.

The seminary also recognized Mrs. Jeannete Aultman of Jacksonville for her 55 consecutive years of service as the seminary's commencement pianist.

Dr. Charley Holmes, President of BMA Seminary, presented the commencement address. The address served as Holmes' final act as the institution's president following 25 years of faithful and effective service in that role.

BMA Seminary provides accredited theological education to qualified individuals by seeking to equip them for Christian service and leadership roles. The seminary supports the educational needs of the Baptist Missionary Association of America and other groups who share a like commitment to the authority of Scripture by offering certificates, associate, bachelor, and master's degrees.
