Blur to release massive 21-disc box set

The members of Britpop band Blur have announced plans to celebrate their 21st and perhaps last year together with a massive reissue campaign, due out July 30. All seven of the band’s studio albums will be re-released in newly expanded Special Edition formats, featuring unreleased tracks, unseen photographs, and more.

The band is also releasing a 21-disc box set, which features the seven Special Edition reissues plus four more discs of rarities, 65 unreleased tracks, three DVDs of unreleased concert footage, a seven-inch vinyl of previously unreleased live recordings, and a hardcover photo book. As listed on Amazon.co.uk, the set will sell for £157.99 (about €193).

Vinyl lovers can also get their hands on a vinyl box set of the band’s seven albums. The vinyl albums will be sold separately as well.

Blur is set to join the Specials and New Order in a performance at the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony Celebration Concert on August 12 in London's Hyde Park.
