Blue Jays closer Casey Janssen says comeback from surgery is going according to plan

DUNEDIN, Fla. - The Blue Jays were buoyed by the sight of closer Casey Janssen on the practice mound Thursday.

Janssen had shoulder surgery in November after a 22-save season.

He says he's happy with his comeback and is taking it slowly as he builds to the start of the regular season.

Manager John Gibbons said Janssen looked good — "free and easy."

Ricky Romero was also positive after his turn pitching at the Jays' practice facility.

The left-handed starter had off-season arthroscopic surgery after a poor 2012 campaign.
